Our Volunteers

During tournament week, July 22–26, 2026, we need you!

Join the team of volunteers who bring one of Europe’s most renowned wheelchair tennis tournaments to life.

Technical Booth

The wheelchair mechanics. The players have wheelchairs that are sometimes very complex, and problems can arise at any time. Fortunately, our technical crew has the expertise to fix any glitches!

Referees

The tournament’s “hawk eyes.” Although the Belgian Open isn’t yet equipped with the famous “Hawk-Eye” system, its referees are there to ensure the quality of the calls. They play just as big a role as everyone else in making sure this incredible human adventure—the tournament—runs smoothly.

The Com Team

Behind the camera, the microphone, or the computers, the Communications team uses every means at its disposal to bring you as close as possible to the players and their performances! They make you feel like you're right there at the tournament.

Ball retrievers

Hours and hours spent on the court alongside the greatest players... and running after balls! Being a ball boy or girl has some great perks. But it also requires a lot of focus and energy. There are about 40 of them each year.

Welcome Booth

They welcome you every day from morning to night. Come rain or shine, at noon or (almost) midnight, they’re the first to greet you with a smile when you arrive and provide you with all the information and documents you need for the day.

Drivers

Hours spent on the road to handle all the players’ comings and goings. At the airport, the hotel, or in Enghien—they’re everywhere and go everywhere!

Photographers

They are the eyes of the tournament. Our photographers spend the week snapping photos of the players in action. They provide us with high-quality photos so you can experience the tournament more fully on our website!

Infodesk

They answer everyone's questions and help players find their way around—always with a smile. The information desk provides access to all the information about the tournament. Helpfulness and patience are the hallmarks of their work.

The Maintenance Team

Sweeping the lines, maintaining the fields, keeping the site clean... The maintenance team has many tasks, and their work is essential to the smooth running of the tournament. They are the unsung heroes doing work that is sometimes thankless but absolutely necessary.

Physical Therapists

The team with the golden hands. The players wouldn't argue with that. Our physical therapists treat every player, and every little or big injury passes through their hands. There are even rumors that some players try to come back home several times a day just for their magic hands!

The Restaurant Team

It provides meals for players and volunteers throughout the tournament. The restaurant staff is hard at work.
